Graduated from the National Military University “Vasil Levski” in 1985 and from the “Georgi Sava Rakovski” Military Academy in 1999, he also completed numerous advanced training courses and professional development programs organized by the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Interior, and partner security services at both national and international levels.

He has served within the security sector since 1987, holding various positions within the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Defence, and the State Agency for National Security (DANS). Throughout his distinguished career, he progressed through the ranks from operational officer to Deputy Chairman of the State Agency for National Security (DANS), with responsibilities encompassing counterintelligence, counterterrorism, financial security, financial intelligence, and other key areas of national security.

• 1985 – 2000: Held various positions as an officer within units and structures of the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Interior.
• January 2000 – September 2004: Deputy Director of the Regional Service “Military Police Security and Military Counterintelligence” within the Ministry of Defence.
• September 2004 – July 2009: State Inspector at the Service “Military Police Security and Military Counterintelligence” of the Ministry of Defence.
• November 2009 – January 2010: Director of a Directorate at the State Agency for National Security (DANS).
• January 2010 – March 2011: Director of a Directorate at the State Agency for National Security (DANS).
