The Institute for Development of Security – European Police Agency – Brussels (ASBL) continues to strengthen its international presence and develop the European network of cooperation.

In my capacity as Director of the Institute, I hereby appoint:

The Institute for Development of Security – European Police Agency – Brussels (ASBL) appoints Mirche Hristov as Consultant for Italy.

Solemn event in Novi Sad

On 19 September 2026, a solemn event was held in Novi Sad, Republic of Serbia, during which the Institute for the Development of Security – European Police Agency – Brussels was the guest of the Institute for the Development of Security – EPA Serbia.

The delegation was officially welcomed by the delegate for Serbia, Dejan Stojanov, together with members of the Institute.

In a solemn atmosphere, the Institute’s activities and its presence in Serbia were presented. At the same time, new members were welcomed and officially presented with membership cards bearing the emblems of the European Police Agency.

This solemn event marks a significant moment for the further development of the organization in Serbia, as well as for building connections and strengthening cooperation between the members and representatives of the European Police Agency.

We express our gratitude to the delegate for Serbia, Dejan Stojanov, for the excellent organization, the hospitality, and his dedication to the development of the Institute.

DIMITAR YORDANOV APPOINTED NATIONAL DELEGATE FOR THE REPUBLIC OF BULGARIA

The Institute for Development of Security – European Police Agency Brussels (ASBL) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Dimitar Yordanov as National Delegate for the Republic of Bulgaria.

A graduate of the “Vasil Levski” National Military Academy and the “G. S. Rakovski” Military Academy, Mr. Yordanov has more than three decades of experience in intelligence, counterintelligence, counterterrorism, and national security.

Throughout his career he has held senior positions at the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of the Interior, and the State Agency for National Security of Bulgaria (DANS), including Director of DANS, with direct responsibility for counterintelligence, counterterrorism, financial security, and financial intelligence.

His strategic expertise, operational experience, and contribution to safeguarding national security make him a highly respected figure in Bulgaria’s security and intelligence circles.

Since 2014 he has been the founder and director of the security consulting company Intel Security Ltd.

The Institute for Development of Security – European Police Agency Brussels (ASBL) is pleased to be able to rely on his exceptional experience to strengthen international cooperation in security, crime prevention, and the development of institutional partnerships across Europe.

ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE APPOINTMENT OF A NATIONAL DELEGATE FOR THE REPUBLIC OF CROATIA

Dear Madam or Sir,

It is with great pleasure that, on 14.04.2026, I, as Director of the Institute for Development of Security – European Police Agency – Brussels (ASBL), made the decision to appoint a National Delegate for the Republic of Croatia.

By this decision, the following person is appointed National Delegate for the Republic of Croatia:

Prof. Dr. Goran Čogelja, senior consultant at an energy institute in the Republic of Croatia and former energy security representative at the Secretariat of the Energy Community.

This appointment forms part of the organization’s strategic activities aimed at expanding its international presence, strengthening institutional cooperation, and developing professional networks in the field of security at the European level.

I am convinced that, thanks to his experience, professionalism, and international engagement, the appointed delegate will contribute to the successful implementation of the organization’s objectives and activities in the Republic of Croatia.
